Muramin felt herself suddenly thrust back away from the Twi'lek, and landed on the ground with a growl. She quickly jumped up to watch Meloh taken down by a trash can. Turning towards the Jedi Master, she hissed quietly.
"This is personal business, and I'll ask you once to stay clear of it," she said, not hiding her anger at being stopped.

Marcusis busy checking the building for any kind of traps that could be of harm to the group, but so far there are none.

Nik approached cautiously, careful not to assume an attack position with his lightsaber. "I'm sure that his lesson is learned, Miss.... Please, calm down...."
Cahn caught up to the both of them, huffing as he looked imploringly at Mura.

Muramin held both blades at the ready, her off-paw sabre in a reverse grip; such helped when she used her training as a dervish. She had yet to take care of the blaster wound, such that it was, though she paid it no heed.
"You're not from down here, Sorcerer," she spat back. "You don't understand the way power works," she continued. "If he lives, he will come back with a bigger gang and try again. I don't know about you, either, but I can't watch the streets myself." Muramin began to circle around Nik, stepping carefully and deliberately; she was trying to get between he and the Twi'lek.

"Mura, stop....", Nik said. "Let me heal your arm.... It looks bad...." Meloh started to get up, but Cahn ran across and held him to the ground. "You're not going anywhere, Meloh...."
Nik gave him the slightest glance....

Muramin ignored the Jedi and continued to try and circle, keeping an eye on Cahn and the garbage he stood upon. A single glance was given to the burn where the bolt had just grazed her arm. "I don't need your help," she said, eyes filled with anger for his interference. "It takes more than a little burn to stop me," she added matter-of-factly.

Nik looked slightly exasperated. "I'm not trying to stop you, I'm trying to help you...." He began circling the field himself, keeping an eye on both Mura and the two on the ground. "You are tapping into the Dark Side, Mura.... Your emotions are out of control, and they will only destroy you, should you persist in using them."

Muramin growled softly, eyeing the Jedi, still trying to put herself between the badger and the Twi'lek. "Others have spoken as you do, Sorcerer," she said. A bit of pain at the memory filled her eyes for a second before she continued. "They're dead," she stated before continuing, "yet, I am still here. The answer is obvious."

Nik lowered his lightsaber a few inches, haltering in his steps. He, too, reliving the pain of losing two of his closest friends. "Nonna Krillel and Crom Dallex?"

Muramin gave a slight nod, before exhaling and looking down a moment. "They spent several cycles of the moon with us before," she stopped abruptly, not wishing to continue. "No matter; they died and I still live," she continued after a pause.

Nik looked closely at her, his eyes nearly tearing. "It was the Empire, wasn't it? The Great Purge?"

Muramin extinguished both lightsabers and returned them to her belt, a wave of sadness taking the fight from her. "I tire now of this bloodshed," she said quietly, glancing towards the thug. "He is lucky today, but tomorrow holds the same fate should he return," she added before starting to head back the way she had come; back to her 'home' amongst the containers.

Nik heaved a sigh of relief, and extinguished his own lightsaber. He looked over at Cahn, still holding the cringing Meloh to the ground. "Captain...." Cahn gave one last shove on the gang leader's chest with his blaster, then stood. "I suggest you stay away from here, got it?" Meloh nodded furiously, and ran back towards his hideout, his remaining lekku curling wildly in distress. As Cahn met Nik, they silently followed Mura back to the containers.

Muramin opened the door quietly and stepped inside, holding it open for the other two should they wish to follow, before stepping to her 'living room' portion. There, she would take seat on one of five chairs (convienient, ne?). With a motion of the paw, she bade her visitors to take seat as well. "You know of the two Sorcerers from the Clan 'Jedi', I take it?" she asked, her voice still carrying a small hint of the emotion behind it.

OOC: Ooh, interesting.... You've thought about the Wyuli's perception of the Jedi very well!
IC: Nik stared at the floor, an emotional mixture of fond memories and profound loss forming on his aging face. "Indeed, I did, Mura.... They were two of my greatest friends, many years ago. I had last heard of them a few years after the Purge began, in an Imperial bounty list.... They had been killed on Wyuli, your home planet, I suspect...."

(( Oh, I've thought about it much. You shall see... ))
Muramin inhaled deeply and then exhaled. "Had I not been meditating away from my village, as I oft did, I would have likely joined them in death," she said solemnly. "And I should have, too. It was my duty, as Shaman of my people, to fight and defend our home." A tear formed at the corner of her eye. "I failed them."

Cahn moved to comfort her. "No, you didn't.... The Imps.... They're ruthless, Mura.... They would have killed you without even giving you a chance to talk...." Nik looked solemnly at Mura. "How did you get their weapons, Mura? How did you escape?"

Muramin looked up a Cahn. "That may be true; my majick may not have been enough to save them, but I would have at least fulfilled my duties to my tribe and Wyuli," she replied. She slumped over in her seat. "A chosen daughter of my people, and I did nothing to stop their slaughter. Not even a child was left to be saved." More tears began to form, despite the leopardess' attempts to hold them back. "Amidst the destruction I found their weapons, and I followed the soldiers to their village. I worked majick to slip in unseen and, when the opportunity struck, I took revenge on their leader." She seemed to abate her sorrow a little with the sentence, hinting to something very 'Dark Side' in action and thought.

Nik jerked back, slightly. "Mura, this 'majick'.... How long have you been able to use it? How did you come to be a.... Shaman?"

Muramin looked at Nik and thought for a moment. "My mother was the Shaman of the tribe before her death of great age," she said, recalling back. "So far as I can remember, I've always had the gift, though my mother tought me nearly all I know. There are a few things I've since learned, but they're nothing of great power." She shrugged a little. "Just new uses for old spells."
