"Spells....", Nik murmured. He looked around the room, trying to choose his words carefully; He needed to use the young woman's jargon, and finding it would not be easy. "When your Tribe was murdered.... Did you use, eh.... Dark majick? Something that you feuled with the anger and loss inside you?" Cahn looked quizzically at Vecto, trying to understand where the Jedi Master was headed with his questioning. I hope you know what you're doing, Master, he thought.

Muramin studied him for a moment, then shook her haid slightly. "There's no such thing as 'dark' majick..." Muramin trailed off, realising that she did not have his name. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I cought your name," she said after a pause.

Realizing the oddity of it all, Nik finally smiled. "I am Jed-- *Ahem*, Nik Vecto, of the clan Jedi." He gestured to Marcus and Ivanova. "These two are Marcus and Ivanova Starkiller, also of the clan Jedi." Cahn looked surprised at Nik, for not introducing him.... Granted, the girl already knew who he was, but still....

Marcus: We are honored to meet you. How long have you lived on Coruscant?

Muramin thought for a moment, trying to count the number of seasons. After about a minute, she finaly shrugged. "I cannot recall, exactly, how long ago it was I left my home," she said quietly. "As for this world, I have been through but one season."

"A season full of absolute bliss, I'll bet", Cahn interjected.
Nik leaned forward in his seat, his brows slightly furrowed.... It was not going to be easy to say what he wanted to say. "Mura", he began, "Your 'Majick' was also used by the Sorcerers who had sought refuge on your planet. As 'Shamans' in the Clan of the Jedi, those Sorcerers were chosen to protect all other planets from other, more violent, Clans. You see, the Sorcerer's believe that the Majick had two sides- a 'light' and 'dark' side. The Light Side represents humility and the true value of life, while the Dark Side is the very essence of greed, hate, and disregard for the lives of others. Evil Shamans use the Dark Side of Majick to elevate themselves to power, and kill all who oppose them"
He paused, catching his breath. "Nearly twenty-four years ago, now, the, uh, King of all the galaxy's Clans, along with his own Dark Shaman, told his warriors to destroy the Light Shamans in order to secure his bloodthirsty reign of the galaxy.... Many Sorcerers were killed, and the ones that escaped tried to hide on other worlds, only to be hunted down by the King's minions and slaughtered. This is what happened to you, Mura.... And because of your hatred towards the King's Warriors, you're Majick has shifted to that of the Dark Side of what the Shaman-Jedi call.... The Force." Nik sighed deeply, surprised at how well he was able to adapt the Republic's history to terms hopefully more meaningful to Mura. He looked up at Mura, and spoke again. "This is why we have searched for you, Mura.... The Dark Side is corrupting you, and we have come to help you...."

Muramin gave Cahn a look and frowned. She would have wagered he knew little to nothing about the seasons of fertility and infertility that were natural to her home and people. "It was easier here," she said, gaze still directed to Cahn, "to overcome the base desire to mate, as I was not surrounded by suitable males."
Her gaze then turned to Master Vecto. She smiled, holding back the desire to chuckle at the way he put it, as absurd as the concept sounded. "I believe you to be mistaken," she replied. "It is not the majicks themselves that are evil, but the use and desire to dominate others." The leopardess thought for a moment. "A spell to heal wounds can be evil if the desire is to prolong suffering," she added, nodding quietly.
At that moment, she recalled that she had been grazed. She had been distracted from taking care of herself, but that mattered no more. Gently placing a paw on the wound, she tapped into her ability and effected regrowth of the flesh; the fur would regrow to its original state in time.
"No," she contested, returning her attentions to the badger, "I seek not to dominate others; I seek to ensure that the pains I've endured befall none other. It has taken many, many seasons to do this, but now I can fight that which destroyed my home." She sighed softly, and glanced towards where the Imperial Palace once stood, though she knew not how well she was directed. "I will go and cut the head from the mor'loki."

Muramin nodded, thinking for a moment. "I believe it best translates as 'black snake' in your language," she said softly. "There is a legend that I once believed untrue of a being of pure evil; a serpent so dark that even light itself refused to shine upon it," the leopardess explained. She continued, "I often dismissed it as a story to frighten children, until the massacre."

Cahn spoke loudly, despite being shaken at Mura's last comments to him. "Well, he WAS real.... And now, he's dead. Killed by Luke Skywalker, no less...." He reflected surprisingly fondly back to when he had served under Commander Skywalker on Hoth. "I knew he had destroyed the Death Star, but I didn't think he had it in him to go after Vader and the Emperor...."
"On the contrary, Captain", Nik said, "It was Vader who had killed Emperor Palpatine, saving Luke by turning back to the Light Side.... That is what Skywalker told me, at least...."

Muramin looked rather confused. "Luke? Vader? Death star?" she said quizically, before adding quietly, "What are these things?" She had no idea at all what was being mentioned; she'd not paid any attention to major events in the galaxy.

Nik and Cahn shared a mutual glance, both of them surprised, but understandable, of Mura's unawareness to the goings-on of the galaxy. Cahn turned to Nik, giving him a pleading look; he posessed no gift of storytelling. And so, Nik inhaled deeply, hoping to explain in as short of terms as he could. "The King(Or the 'Emperor', as we call him) had seduced a member of the Light Shamans(Jedi) to the Dark Side, a young Knight named Anakin Skywalker.... Now, this information is a bit sketchy, but we believe that Anakin had children with a young Clan(planetary) leader named Padme Amidala, but she died before he had seen his children. After this, he changed from Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader, and served the Emperor's evil ends.
Nineteen years passed, and the Empire had built an artificial moon(Named the Death Star), a moon with the power to destroy other planets. A Resistance to the Empire had formed by that time, and had discovered the means to destroy this weapon. As it turned out, Skywalker had joined this Resistance,(Called the Rebel Alliance) and destroyed the Death Star before it could destroy his friends. A few years afterward, the Empire had built another Death Star, and Darth Vader had discovered Luke's true identity as his son. The Emperor instructed Vader to bring Luke to the Dark Side, and captured him while the Alliance prepared to destroy the new Death Star. The Emperor was betrayed, however, when Luke convinced his father to turn back to the Light Side, and Anakin returned to kill the Emperor. The second Death Star was destroyed, and the Alliance was able to bring back the rightful form of leadership to the galaxy."

Muramin sighed and thought for a moment; not everything made sense to her. Quietly, she whispered what she could figure out to herself in her language. It would aid her in understanding.
"Mor'loki neume ohtarim en'Jedi. Anakin en'nosse Skywalker en'Jedi yassen Padme al'Amidala one hinea, nan'Padme rato gurthe. Anakin natule Mor'Ohtar esse 'Darth Vader'. Mor'Ohtar tue Mor'Loki."
After a moment, she looked at Nik. "If I am understanding your correctly, then," she began, still fairly quiet, "Mor'loki corrupts many warriors of the clan Jedi, but especially this 'Anakin Skywalker." She paused, thinking for a moment. "His mate dies with child, and he changes himself into the Dark Warrior 'Darth Vader'?" She canted her head slightly, hoping that was close enough.

She canted her head slightly, hoping that was close enough. OOC: Aww! IC:Nik smiled, happy that his story was understandable to her. "Close; Anakin thought that Padme had died before giving birth. Actually, she died just afterward, and her offspring were hidden from him. Luke Skywalker grew up on the world of Tatooine, his twin sister Leia on Alderaan, and both later joined the Rebel Alliance." Cahn stared at Mura intently, studying her every facial feature; She's absolutely beautiful.... He smiled inwardly at the sight of her tilted head. And cute, too....

Ivanova chuckles at Cahn when she notices him 'studying' Muramin.
Marcus: I think he's under her power. *begins to laugh*

Cahn quickly shook his head, snapping out of his trance. Embarassed, he moved to stand in the doorway, keeping watch for people outside.

Muramin nodded quietly, figuring she had a general understanding; sufficient for her to continue to make her way in the wide universe. "I think I understand now," the feline stated. Things were so much easier back home, she thought.
An ear perked when the leopardess noted a chuckle from her female guest. It took a second to realise the meaning behind the statement. Muramin quickly looked towards the retreating Cahn, inner-ears slightly pinker than normal.

Nik nodded in agreement with himself, glad that Muramin had understood. "Good, good...." He then looked around the container that the girl had been living in, and had an idea....
"Muramin", he began, "it's not necessary for you to 'scratch out' a living in the Lower Levels.... Let us take you to the Upper City!" Cahn's ear twitched, interested in what Master Vecto had to say. "We would be happy to accomodate you, and help find you a more suitabe home...."

Muramin looked around at her 'home' and sighed. She had grown rather used to it, but the place was far from comfortable. After a few moments, she looked back at Nik. "Would I have a place I could practice my skills uninterrupted?" she asked, referring to both the 'room' filled with droids (some of which appeared to have been smashed by pipes) and to her ability to wield her sabers.

Nik smiled broadly. "Yes, of course! I, myself, have a special training room that I use for meditation...."
Cahn turned back around, listening intently. Vecto continued. "You could stay with one of our cre members until we find you quarters."
