IC: 3 ABY
Four years have passed in relative peace on Mandalore. Carth Hunter, with his father's blessing, has joined the Rebellion on Hoth along with his friend, Dack, Admiral Ralter's son.
OOC: For the most part, Hoth goes as canon, with Dack being killed.

Marcus and Ivanova Starkiller, still low ranking officers in the Rebellion are stationed on Hoth. Ivanova is with the tauntaun patrols, while Marcus is part of Indigo Squadron, the second snowspeeder unit at Echo Base.

Carth is Luke's crew chief in Rogue Squadron (both in regards to his X-Wing and his Snowspeeder).
OOC: Do you want to pick it up now?

OOC: Sure.
IC: Captain Solo and Commander Skywalker are safely back at Echo Base and Luke is out of the bacta tank. A Imperial probot was destroyed a little while ago and the Alliance personnel are prepping for battle.
"Ivanova my darling, you watch yourself? Alright?" requests Marcus as he dawns his blue Indigo Squadron flightsuit.
"Don't worry. The Force is with us, my husband." responds Ivanova. "Though, I must admit, I am worried about you going out with Indigo Squad... what if we face something heavy like walkers or even the old juggernauts?"

Meanwhile, Carth visits Luke in Medbay. "Boss, what is it with you and trouble?" he asks after shaking Luke's hand. "I swear, it's like dealing with my dad all over again!"
"Not exactly my fault, Chief," Luke replies. Carth had been his crew chief (and surrogate older brother) since the Battle of Yavin three years previously.

Luke and Carth quit joking. Carth is all business when he says, "Gear up, sir, and get to your speeder, it should be ready, and I'll make sure Dack's ready to go."

While Luke heads out in his Snowspeeder, Carth is prepping Luke's X-Wing for evacuation. "Okay, Artoo, you're set to go," Carth tells the astromech with a final fond slap on the dome before he heads to check on his personal Z-95AF4 Headhunter.
OOC: In the movie this is where Threepio tells Artoo to be careful as the astromech is placed in his socket behind the cockpit.

OOC: Thought so. By the way, Marcus and Ivanova ARE captured with other stranded Echo Base survivers after the battle. "Several years passed and the two lovers found themselves fighting on the frozen ice ball of a planet, Hoth. During the coming battle, Marcus was recruited as a member of Indigo Squadron and helped to slow down the Imperial advance, until his T-47 snow speeder took a direct hit and crashed. Without the Force, Marcus surely would have perished on the spot, but with the help of a Jedi healing technique, he managed to survive long enough for Ivanova to find him. The two lovers along with many of their fellow freedom fighters, where captured by General Veer’s snow trooper battalion. While being transferred the spice mines of Kessel aboard the dreadnaught VTR/LX, a dark acolyte tortured the two Force wielding rebels, before they could be put to death by this dark side brute, a Rebel task force intercepted the VTR/LX, disabled it and rescued the captives." This nods to the old X-Wing Alliance computer game.
IC: Indigo Squadron is ready for battle and await the order to move out.

Slight Timeskip: After the battle. (OOC: The scene where the various Rebel pilots are packing up their gear beside a Gallofree Yards Transport.)
Carth catches sight of Luke. "Dack bought it, didn't he?" he asks solemnly.
Luke nods. "Yeah, his fire-control system blew in his face," he replies. "Looks like I have a letter to write."
"Dack's father knew the life, sir, and the risks involved," says Carth. "On a less weighty subject, your X-Wing and Artoo are ready to go, as is my personal Headhunter."
The two climb into their fighters and take off, with Luke intending to go to Dagobah. Artoo sends the data to Carth. "Dagobah, Luke? What could possibly hold your interest there, of all places?" he asks.
OOC: Luke doesn't know that Carth has Jedi training.

"Just a hunch, Carth. Nothing to worry about." says Commander Skywalker. "I have a mission for you in the meantime. Go to ground and help locate and rescue any of our Rebel brethren that may have been taken alive."

"The only thing on Dagobah that might possibly hold your attention, Squirt, is Grand Master Yoda," Carth responds, "and I don't think you're ready to deal with him, yet. I think my old man on Mandalore would be a better fit, and you need the downtime."
Even though Carth can't see it, he knows Luke's expression is like somebody pole-axed him. "Wait, your father's a Jedi, Carth?" Luke asks. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
"To the first: yes, and to the second: you never asked," Carth replies.
OOC: Well, Luke knows that Carth's father is a Jedi now.

"I'm still going to Dagobah." says Luke. "When I was out in the snow fields near death... Obi-Wan came to me in a vision. He instructed me to seek out Yoda."

"Luke, both my parents are Jedi, I have Jedi training, my fiancee has Jedi training (OOC: okay, he's stretching the truth a little bit here) and I'm sure my parents are training my little sister," Carth responds. "Besides, say what you will about my old man, at least you can understand him without puzzling through speech patterns that remind people of riddles..."
Luke is finally convinced. "Okay, lead the way, Carth," he says.
"Knew you'd see it my way," Carth mutters as he leads Luke on the course for Mandalore.

Carth and Luke arrive at Mandalore, where Carth obtains clearance for them to land at Ne'tra Kad's Headquarters. "Buir, I'm home, and I brought a guest," he says over the comm.
"Well, son, I'm sure you'll have an interesting story when you land, so report to my office on the double as soon as you and your 'guest' land," Matt replies. "And bring this 'guest' of yours."
"Yes, sir!" Carth barks, cutting the transmission.
"That boy better have a really good excuse, Sidewinder," Matt mutters to the duty officer as they watch the two starfighters land.

Matt takes a good look at him. "Welcome to Mandalore, Commander."
"Thank you," Luke replies absently.
Matt shakes his head. "That's 'Thank you, SIR,' when you speak to a superior officer, Commander, or did they not cover basic military courtesy in the Alliance? Carth?"
At his tone, both Carth and Luke snap to Attention. "Sorry, Sir!" they bark in unison.
Luke then tells his story from when he obtained See-Threepio and Artoo-Detoo, to the current time.

"Those two droids had a history with your parents." says Matt. "No use asking the protocol droid about it. I hear that it's memory was wiped long ago."
