Marcus grins at this, knowing some of the Mandalorian tongue. "I'm just thinking of when my brother and I acted the way you two are now. I wonder how he is doing these days. He actually stayed out of all the fighting by starting a business on Corellia years ago."

The holo in the war room shows that the Brotherhood has begun it's assault. " Me'bana?" Kari murmurs as she watches. OOC: Link to a Mandoa dictionary.

"Then we convince them that that is not a good idea," Carth replies, "and an air strike from Raptor Squadron should do the job quite nicely. See to it, Marcus."

Marcus and Ivanova are in their flight suits in no time and board their tandem X-Wing while the other pilots of Raptor Squadron prepare as well. Once the all clear is given, the X-Wing squadron rockets out of the hangar and towards the planet. The squadron is one pilot short as Jedi Master Nik Vecto (Raptor 2) is still on Coruscant.
"This is Raptor Lead to Raptor Squadron, all pilots sign in." Marcus states over the comm.
"Raptor 3 standing by." states Jake Harris.
"Raptor 4 is at the ready." adds Glenn Tass
"Raptor 5 is here." responds the Quarren male Kriss Gett.
"Raptor 6 is standing ready." adds the Duros female Haruna Kast.
"Raptor 7, ready and waiting." chimes Menivra Knim.
"Raptor 8, AOK." quips Kirtan Lonest.
"Raptor 9, having a minor power issue." states Jace Hallin. "Got it fixed."
"Glad to hear that, Jace." Marcus responds.
"Raptor 10, ready to light up the enemy." adds Donna Reed.
"Raptor 11, ready for the good fight." states Fiona Cross.
"Raptor 12, at the ready." replies Genna Firrst.
The squadron screams into the planets atmosphere and gets the Brotherhood in their sights. An unknown member of the Brotherhood shouts a warning to her comrades and points to the sky before being vaped by laser fire from Glenn Tass.

OOC: I see somebody's a fan of Deadliest Catch.
IC: There is nother the Brotherhood can do about the marauding starfighters.
"Blast and damn them!" the leader of the Brotherhood curses as the eleven X-Wings circle around for another pass.

OOC: Never seen nor heard of Deadliest Catch.
IC: A group of U-Wings and Dewback Modular Transports launch once the Brotherhood has retreated.

OOC: Here's a link to the wiki article about the series. One of your Raptor Squadron characters shares the surname of the deceased captain of F/V Cornelia Marie, Phil Harris. IC: On board one of the U-Wings, Kari is checking over her gear, just in case the Brotherhood wasn't as discouraged as they seemed to be.

Lucky for the Jedi, the Brotherhood has fully retreated for the time being.

OOC: How do we want to handle the Lightsiders? The way I've been toying with is that the Force had completely hidden the planet and caused time to run faster there than the rest of the Galaxy, so to the locals, it's been about a thousand years (rather than about thirty or so years for the rest of the Galaxy)...

OOC: I figure the Light Siders are still rather advance culture wise compared to the Brotherhood, but they still don't have any proper tech aside from a Holocron. As such, they would recognize our characters as rescuers.

OOC: As perhaps a myth come to life? Or possibly Gods?

OOC: They would have kept faith that the Force would send someone to save them. I could see a number of the Light Siders joining the Jedi Order, while those that don't have a strong connection to the Force would be invited into the ranks of the New Republic if they so wish.

OOC: I was thinking that they won't be that phased compared to the Brotherhood.
IC: The group of U-Wings lands around the Light Sider encampment as do the X-Wings.
Marcus and Ivanova are the first to be greeted by the group of Light Siders.
"The Force has brought our saviors as promised!" shouts an ancient looking grey wolf. "Did any members of the High Council survive the purge?"
