"It's going to be tight, ma'am, but we'll be in position before the Seppies get there," says the Tactical Officer, deducing the direction of Kari's thoughts.

The CIS forces are soon intercepted, but just barely. The Sovereign takes the lead position in the flying wedge formation, it's turbolaser batteries battering CIS vessels as they come into range. While this is happening, several CIS frigates and landers break past and approach the surface, intent on taking the landing site and recovering any potential Republic dead for use in Project Necrodroid.

"Seal the morgue!" Commander Trak calls to the Acclamator's sickbay. "I'd bet the house edge on the Coral Vanda that those frakkers are after whatever intact dead are left after the hyperdrive went tits-up in an explosively impressive manner!"

"Yes sir, Commander Trak." comes a response from sickbay. "We are closing as many blast doors as we can near sickbay. Sergeant Beater and his team are rigging them with droid-poppers should the droid army get through any of them." Meanwhile three CIS landers manage to thread the needle and touch down without anything more that minor damage. They begin to deploy their loads of vehicles and droids.

IC: Kari is not happy about missing those landers. "Guns, we need to have a little talk about those landers you missed when the battle is over," she says coolly.

They have killed a number of clones between the hangar and here. Need help ASAP." the female tiger with a Corellian accent states.

Kari glances at Barquan, who nods and leaves the bridge to prepare the First Strike Legion to go down to the lunar surface and hit the CIS forces from behind. "Reinforcements are enroute now, Captain," Kari responds.

Fortunately, the bridge blast doors hold as Barquan's force catches the CIS battle droids from behind in an ambush.
