In Starkiller Base's command center, General Hux's jaw is hanging open at the sight of Ninth Fleet exchanging fire with the First Order's Resurgent-class star destroyers. "Where did they come from?" he manages to ask Kylo Ren.
"That... is a very good question," Kylo Ren replies.
OOC: They're boned, they just don't know it yet... and the Resistance pilots have never seen operational TIE Interceptors (to say nothing of the TIE Defender)...

OOC: So true. But I could see a battle between Kylo Ren and the Starkiller couple aboard the Starkiller's Pride. Perhaps Ren infiltrates the ship and proceeds to inflict major damage as he goes? I will let you decide which animal species he is.
IC: Raptor Squadron and the two Skipray Blastboats join the fray of battle on the side of good.

OOC: Kylo Ren's not going to fight the Starkillers, yet... he's still got that climactic brawl with Finn (a panther) and Rey (a fennec fox) to come. What species is Han Solo (and Princess Leia, for that matter)?
IC: The Resistance pilots are shocked at the fighters that come screaming into the fight. "TIE Interceptors?" Poe Dameron asks from the cockpit of Black One.
OOC2: Poe's a coyote, BTW.

IC: One of Poe's wingmates is surprised to see old Incom X-Wings join the fight as well. "Since when did the Resistance start using the old models?"

"What?" Poe asks before he catches a glimpse of a TIE Defender. "Oh, that thing. I don't know. Whatever it is, though, it's giving the First Order the business."

Raptor Squadron joins formation with Poe Dameron's flight. "This is Commander Zamm Telgor of Raptor Squadron to unidentified X-Wing group, we have your backs in this. Let us clear the way and you do what you need to."

"Copy that, Sabacc Lead. Do what you can." Raptor One responds. Two minutes later, Commander Zamm Telgor's X-Wing is vaporized by a defense turret from Starkiller Base.

"Sabacc Flight, this is Growler Leader. I am assuming command. Raptor One is down, no sign that he ejected," Growler Leader says calmly. "Abort your run, repeat, abort, abort, abort. That defensive fire is too thick to try and get a Skipray through."

"Copy that Growler Leader." Sabacc Leader responds. "Breaking off our attack. May the Force be with you."
The two Skipray Blastboats break away and start to rip through groups of First Order TIE fighters.

"Don't know, don't particularly care," Growler Leader replies prosaically as he fires a concussion missile at what looks like a massive thermal oscillator.
